LZ, Thank You for sharing these by Kun-er !! I have came across some of its content before, but may be not all of them.
Agree with Kun-er, precious & valuable "love" needed to be taken good care of all the time throughout this life, for it is the most valuable "treasure" to be
protected and kept at all cost, so that it won't be ruined or destroyed, and got broken, stolen, and lost.
I have read about a very good defintion of "Love", will share it here :
". . . Love is very patient . . . It is never glad about injustice, but rejoices whenever truth wins out.
. . . If you love someone, you will be loyal to him/her no matter what the cost . . . and always stand your ground in defending him/her.
. . . all things will someday come to an end, but love goes on forever . . .
Just add a point of interest, since the movie "The Knot" is so successful & has led to lots of discussion about the "love" between the characters in it.
If Chao Shui would have read the above definition of "Love", may be he would be more alert & would not allow himself to fall into the trap set by J.D. ( kidding! :P )
In fact, the scene in which J.D. got C.S. to accept her is quite horrible & shocking. J.D. in the movie, in my imagination, resembles an aggressive 'hunter' who has
set her mind on 'catching' C.S. one of these days, never giving up, targetting & focusing, grabbing any opportunity, waiting for the final successful 'catch'.
C.S. is probably a nice & soft-hearted person, who felt guilty about not letting J.D. to catch him all through the years. Finally, in that horrible shocking scene,
out of this deceptive sense of guilt towards J.D., C.S. gave himself up, killing himself & B.Y.(spiritually), murdering & extinguishing the most valuable 'treasure'
of his heart & soul, compromised with 'reality', and fulfilling the dream & wish of the woman hunter J.D., sacrificing himself & his most beloved B.Y.
If C.S. would have more faith and stability in his soul & spirit, and not be deceived by this sense of guilt and let the so-called 'reality' to blind his spiritual vision,
one of these days, somehow, he and B.Y. would find each other and reunited. But I think, the attraction & special point of "The Knot" & this type of movie is
to talk about the ordinary people, the common human nature, and not the 'Romeo & Juliet' or the 'Liang Ju' type of love, which is unrealistic & out of this world.
B.Y. is the only person who does not belong to reality & this world, and the world of C.S. & J.D.
Pathetic indeed. But if the fate of the characters are all smooth & happy, how can we enjoy all these very touching movies which would earn our tears & get us to think?! :)
