这是新家坡海峡时报评论中国当代小生的.CHINA ACTORS – THE NEXT BIG THING? China’s screen sirens have long outshone the men on the international stage. Perhaps the time is ripe for the men to take their turn in the spotlight. Women in China, it would appear, hold up more than half the sky when it comes to the movies. Names of actresses such as Gong Li and Zhang Ziyi have long rolled off film connoisseurs’ tongues. They have captivated international audiences with their illustrious arthouse credentials as well as their shimmering red carpet appearances. Gong, arguably the doyenne of Chinese cinema, made her memorable debut in Red Sorghum almost 20 years ago. She appeared recently in two Hollywood films, Memoirs of A Geisha (2005) and Miami Vice (2006), and will appear next in Hannibal Rising. Zhang broke through with her dewy-fresh turn in Lee Ang’s Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon in 2000, and her Hollywood credits include Memoirs and Rush Hour 2 (2001). Which bags the question: Where are the China actors? Leaving aside the usual action heroes like Jet Li and Hong Kong superstars Jackie Chan and Chow Yun Fat, very few China actors make a dramatic ripple, much less a splash, in the West. It is not for a lack of good actors though. Chen Daoming came to prominence acting in TV dramas like The Kangxi Dynasty (2001) while Ge You, a Cannes’ best actor winnder for Zhang Yimou’s To Live (1994), made his name in big-screen comedies like Feng Xiaogang’s Be There Or Be Square (1998) and Big Shot’s Funeral (2001). The problem is that few outside China saw their performances. Perhaps the question is a more fundamental one: Can Asian men be accepted as sex symbols in the West? After all, in order to have international appeal, an actor needs to take on different roles and, thus far, romantic leads in Hollywood films have largely passed Asian men by. The Asian woman has always exuded the allure of the exotic Orient to the West. Or more bluntly put, as Dr Wong Lung Hsiang, Singapore Film Society secretary and film reviewer, says they were looked upon from an “erotic and exploitative point of view”. In contrast, Asian men were hardly seen in such a light, and were also saddled with other unflattering images. But things are looking up. Positive role models like Lost’s Daniel Dae Kim, a Korean, are helping to change people’s mindset towards Asian men on-screen. For China actors, the first step to breaking out could lie in their own backyard Low Yuen Ping, the managing director of independent film distributors Festive Films, was of the view that “becoming popular in Asia is the best bet to getting the rest of the world to notice you”. Now that the window of opportunity has widened, LifeStyle gives the lowdown on the rising brigade of Chinese contenders and susses out their chances of making it big on the international stage.</CC> 。

大概是说中国男演员很久没有能走出国门的了。女的有巩俐和章子怡，在电影方面，她们撑起的不只是半边天。也许是时候男演员出头了。然后大概就是介绍巩俐和章子怡参演过的大片了。
其实并不是缺少好的男演员。例如陈道明，葛优。问题是他们的表演很难被国外观众看到。忧郁韩国演员Daniel，人们对亚洲男演员的观点正在改变。
坤儿：中国重庆人，2000年毕业于北京电影学院，坤儿参演过的电影。坤儿自己说：我还很年轻，我为电影做的贡献还是很有限的。我只是半个电影人。关于是否去香港发展他的演义事业，他说他会先在内地成为No.1（这句有疑问）。由于在《争霸》的表现，他已经赢得了香港观众的支持，尽管他的俊俏外表比演技更被看中。下面提到的是尹力导演的《云水谣》李少红导演的《门》，《金粉世家》。这都是坤儿走上国际舞台的机会。

中国屏幕中的男性演员，早已在国际舞台上一枝独秀。
或许，他们成为风云人物的时机已经成熟。 
女性，在中国电影界看来,已经稳稳占据半臂江山。巩利、章子怡早已可以令著名影评人大为惊叹，他们有他们的观众群，为他们如醉如痴，还有那些国际知名演员资质以及红地毯亮相的身份。 
巩利是中国电影的老前辈,20年前在红高粱中的演出，令人难忘。她最近也出现于两个好莱坞电影中,一个是《艺妓回忆录》(2005)以及《迈阿密风云》(2006)、并将于明年在汉尼巴尔上映。
 章子怡突破与转变在于，李安的《卧虎藏龙》（2000年）以及《艺妓回忆录》，甚至包括好莱坞《尖风时刻2》(2001)。
 而问题是:中国演员在哪里? 且不说，动作巨星李连杰与香港巨星成龙、周润发、很少中国演员做出，更富有戏剧性的演出,从而产生轰动。在西方，虽然这种演员缺乏，但并不被看作是一个好的演员。
 陈道明的电视剧《康熙王朝》(2001)，葛优一个戛纳最佳男主角的获奖者，他的名字被喜剧爱好者冯小刚，通过《甲方乙方》(1998)、《大腕》(2001)等大屏幕影片，而被大多数人所接受。问题是,外界很少看到他们的表演。
 也许更根本的问题是:在西方国家，亚洲男子可以作为一个性别标志被接受?
 毕竟,为了具有国际知名度,演员需要尝试不同的角色,迄今，好莱坞电影的浪漫，已经率先被大部分亚洲男子认可了。但是，亚洲女子所具有的东方魅力，却作为一种异国情调.而被西方接受。
 或者更直截了当,如黄龙襄,新加坡电影协会、影评书记、说他们又将从“（实在不明白这句话的意思）”来考虑。
 相比之下,亚洲男子几乎被看轻,也背负着其他那以启齿的因素。但从正面典型出发,像《（一部韩国电影，具体名字没看过，翻不出来）》的金大中是韩国人,正在帮助改变人们的心态走向亚洲男子篇。
中国演员的第一步爆发可能在于自己的背景，（Low Yuen Ping 一个人，不清楚是谁）, 独立发行影片......
成功突破的全方位艺人（aloy）陈坤（30岁）来自: 重庆，毕业于北京电影学院表演学系，年度突破: 《巴尔扎克和小裁缝》(中国，2002), 他和刘烨扮演最好的朋友爱上了美丽的姑娘周迅。 
你可能也看过了他的《音乐盒子》？(2006)（不清楚这个电影）,李少红的《恋爱中的宝贝》(2004), 央视《金粉世家》系列故事(2002)。 
现状:电影和电视以及两张专辑，已经证明了一个丰富的陈坤。用他自己的话说:“我还很年轻,对电影的贡献也很有限，因此, 我只是半个电影人。 ”
至于他是否会进一步发展他在香港的事业，他说,他首先要让自己的名字在大陆站稳。评论家说:在香港电视戏剧领域，他已经征服了众多观众，即使他的外型好过于他的演技。
未来:导演尹力，可歌可泣的爱情故事《云水谣》（嘿嘿，看过了），他还将出现在电影《门》, 一部悬疑片,描述了心理的转变，导演李少红。

汗，一些新来的坤迷朋友可能不知道，这是指坤去年的一部电影，陈逸飞先生导演的〈理发师〉，影片的英文名叫《music box》，指的是陈坤扮演热爱音乐的理发师陆平，不管如何颠沛流离也不离身的唱机
