我的拙劣英文只能用来聊天或作普通交流而已，不依照文法，因为马来文才是我的主要求学用语 :'(
eeerrrr...常说要practise，这么久了都没看到发动者自己用英文在这里练习或长话家常一番说 :)

不如就练习一下 Across 和 Cross，还有它们的分别
1.) I walked across the road.
2.) I crossed the road.

再来就是 Advise 和 Advice
1.) He advised me not to go out today.
2.) I sincerely thank you for your constructive advice.

还有 Present 和 Presence
1.) She presented a good talk in front of the public.
2.) I can solve your problem remotely without being present on the spot.
3.) He welcomed my presence at his party.

just contribute my 2 cents here, 很肤浅的英文, 别见怪, good luck :P

:) No worry, I clearly knew yr implicit meaning in previous posting, just made some fun out of it only.
U r truly a die-hard frenz of Chen Kun irrespective of what languages he uses as long as the sound waves originate from him, rite ?
1 day later, when he feels tired of his artiste's lifestyle, he can consider the occupation -> translator if he's interested in linguistics :D  I think China is currently lacking of multilingual talents along with booming economic growth, hmmm.. should be entitled to a somewhat lucrative remuneration package :P

I was told that the following article can only be understood by means of seeing and reading it personally instead of listening.

I'm really wondering about its actual meanings and my tongue is going to get knotted as I try to read it out in Mandarin, what a pain indeed.

Well, it's just little easy as in Cantonese reading bcoz of less homonyms of different tonal variation as compared to Mandarin :) What a challenge to your tongue. Dunno who can get it translated exactly, so sorry, I'm crippled in classical Chinese.

Ha-ha-ha, LZ !!!  That 's not what I meant to express;  of course, we all know that dear Kun-er cannot speak all those
listed languages, he is not a "linguist"  (meaning : person who studies language(s) .

What I tried to express is purely an emotion, which is ---  I love to hear Kun-er's voice, speaking or singing, very simple !
Do you like Kun-er ?  If you really like Kun-er, may be you would 'understand' what I have tried to express !

JJMM, I-Kun Members, I learn a new word to-day from the dictionary ---  "LINGUIST", meaning : person who studies language(s)

It's getting more challenge now, not sure how long I may last.  By the way, shall we discuss the German, French as well ?  Cause I really want to learn together with everybody here.

这个方法似乎很不错呀！特殊刺激记忆法，将来我们每每想到这个场景就会想到是社区里谁谁谁找了什么句子，最低限度也可以多了解几个相关主题的单词！:handshake

I like the translation '孤独的鸽子'that sounds poetic, mysterious and a little bit pathetic :).
The translation '西部牛仔情' is too direct and lacks imagination :(

:)  U r no doubt a die-hard frenz of Chen Kun n just easily get impressed by his actions n sayings from time to time. By the way, I dun think he can speak so many international languages fluently, sorry, no offence :P

I have read Pride and Prejudice for more than 4 times. It has become one of my favorite books since I seriously loaded my eyes on it the first time. I guess this is also one kind of first-sight love. I am sure you girls will enjoy and love it.

Here I strongly recommend another book from my favorite list – Lonesome Dove. It is a Pulitzer-Prize winning western novel. It is an amzing story about the adventures of two retired old rangers drving a cattle herd from Texas to Montana. It contains 900 pages, therefore some efforts and time are needed to finish it. It is a book to make us laugh, weep, dream and remember.Try it if you have the chance.

because, I think we all feel the same, --- that Kun-er's voice speaking the language he is speaking right now in his everyday life,
is already so "charming & good -to-listen-to";  as long as we hear HIS VOICE, the 'language' itself is not important at all !  :loveliness:
