Really appreciate Kun-er's clear-minded understanding when he said: Taking part in "commercial' films may give you lots of popularity, but it is the
"artistic" movies that shape, sharpen & train your performing technique.
I also think that it would give the actor / performer real satisfaction, and the real sense of achievement & fulfillment.
I hope all "quality" actors / performers will take care not to fall into the trap ( seems to be the present trend ) of involving in films that put on the front
label as "artistic/classic, etc." but in fact, try to focus the attention of the audience upon other things, instead of the really valuable expression & performance of
the actors/performers. That would definitely attract more market and more audience, but long term speaking, I feel that it is very disrespecful and
insulting for the actors/performers. Just my personal opinion, please forgive me if I have offended anyone ! :P |
